Hi, just for the record I now have breeding L270 choc zebras.
I have 4 adults that I have has for a couple of years or more. The smaller ones must have now reached breeding age.
They are in a 4ft x1 x1 with lots of wood caves and some other fish. the tank mates vary from time to time. I had 4 L134 with them but have now moved those to allow more space for babies. Also some cories and small BNs.
I did not know they were breeding as he was deep in long cave out of sight. first I saw were babies in the tank -well one at first.
anyway I think the first two broods have only produced 2 fry each, but last brood I have managed to spot 5 in the tank, may even be a few more hiding.
27 degrees, ph 6- 7 varies, fairly low tds. use half tap treated and half Ro mostly.
first couple of young will be available in a couple of months if anyone looking for some.
L270

thanks all. I am fairly confident the first spawns were only a couple of fry as they come out readily for food now and I spend hours watching the tank -lol! but could have more than 5 in the last batch as they are tiny and hide more.
I dont like to post fish so anyone interested would have to come to norfolk, sorry.
will try and get some pictures of them when they come out to feed, here is a poor pic I took a few weeks ago.
