Hi Def-

Nice looking tank. I am curious as to what the roots at the top are attached. Is it something growing emersed or floating plants?

I researched the set-up by lurking on this and every other forum I could find. I should be getting a few more fish later this month so will have to buy some more caves. I will have a go trying to simulate rainy season conditions in a month or so
Fingers crossed

The roots are from Scindapsus aureus, I bought a potted indoor plant from a local garden center, which was, when removed from the pot 7 plants all of which have taken and are growing, the nitrate level dropped a little (from 12.5ppm to ca 10 ppm), I now use a little rechargable resin to maintain almost undetectable nitrate. perhaps I did not give the plant long enough I may well stop using the resin and see if the nitrate level is maintained

It is nice to know that the tank has positive feedback, I plan to alter it a bit when I add more fish. I will create a terrace with caves in the wall of the terrace and more caves on the second level.
I will post pictures when done
Thanks again
