My quess is that zeb 02, 05 and 06 are females.
And the 2 in zeb 04 are males.
The other ones i am to unsure about.
The pictures are a bit blury so that makes it more difficult to tell.
Nice looking bunch
Regards
Tom

Good Tom:)
You are right about zebra 04, I also belive those two are males. The one with his strips grown together(the one at the top) had a vistit a few days ago.He was blocking the entrance the whole week....but nothing happend..

However he was not involved in the video taped fight.
I had eggs last year,so i know i have at least one female, but the last few weeks i started to belive that i might have more...thats is why i need your input..
I hope that you are right regarding the females
One zebra was not in the pics,he/she lives under the heater, where he/she has been digging i ditch for himself/herself,even if 2 caves are unoccupied. The zebra is only 4-5cm or 1,57 inches.
3 zebra are in another tank,i will take pictures of them later today...

My guess is - nr 2 and 5 ladies, and like Tom said, both on nr 4 males.
On the group picture... send the original and I'll probably do a better guessing, but I believe 4 males and three girls.
This is the verdict of the Norwegian jury - what do you other think?

I used to belive i had 3 females, but over the last few weeks i have started to belive i have at least 4 maybe 5.
So lets hope we are both right
The reason i tought so is because i have been observing the behavior more, and not being so obsessed by their looks.
The females seems to stay hidden among rocks and roots, but when one of them shows intrests for a cave with a male in, they all seems to come out and show their intrest. I dont know if i am right but i like to think so.

I've seen females reside in caves, even though they don't take possesion in the same way as males do. And I've seen females get beaten like they were a competitor to the alpha.
Guess they do as they please

MAybe they're dimorphic, like platies and swords and mollies and frogs.

Always the same, females do as they like
I have altso seen a lot of weird behavior.
But i have never seen males swarming around one cave like my females do, without fighting. In fact i have never seen 3-4 males so close together at all.

Tom
But i am sure sharko would like some more opinions on his bunch now oops
