Oboy more pics!
Outside glass is filthy, sorry:

I think this one's female, about 2 and a quarter inches TL:

THis one is I think a male, under two inches TL:

Both:

Let me know what you think and whether or not my guesses seem right.;)

Here's both:

These are probably the closest shots I can take. The camera is less than four inches from the fish.

Hi Ed. I would have a guess at them both being females. I do understand they are still relatively small. I wouln't be surprised if I was wrong either.

Ed_R,

I would agree with Dr P that they are stilla little small. However if I had to guess , I would agree with you, the larger one looks like a female with shorter cheek odontodes. The smaller one "appears" to have longer cheek odontodes, and therefore would say that it is a male.
The pictures are a little out of focus, therefore cannot be sure.
Did you use a flash, together with Macro mode?.

Regards,
Des.

Yes, both flash and macro.
I'm not too concerned, to be honest. In a year's time or so, if I can keep them fat and happy, they'll reveal themselves rather plainly. I'm only concerned because I want to get more and I['d rather have more females than males but I do need SOME males.
