Post by crystalview »

What is the average male to female hatch rate? Is the survival rate about the same?

By the time people raise them up to the more than 2 years that would be required, it would be quite difficult to tell which sex had sustained more losses, I'd think. I know I've not had a group I raised that long that hadn't suffered any losses along the way. My 4 were 2 females, 1 male, and 1 I don't know, for arguments sake. The I don't know is a snub nosed and I'm finding it harder to guesstimate.

Sorry I'm not more help. I don't personally know anyone that's raised an entire group out to sexing for the ratios to ask.
