My set-up

Hi there, I was wondering if my set-up is ok so here it is.
It's a Juwel Rekord 120 and there are 5 zebras in it. The filter I use is a TetraTec EX700 with the spraybar attached above the surface to produce oxigen. The temp is 29°C.
I don't know if I have the right amount and/or enough current though. As you can see there is an internal filter (600L/H) placed at the left side to make sure there is a current in front of the holes. I still have the original juwel pump(600 L/H) pointed downwards. This means there isn't a current at the left side of the internal filter, this is where I feed them so the food doesn't get blown away.

If you have any ideas to improve my tank please let me know :)

That looks nice :D Is it possible to get a venturi fitted for the internal filter? I've found that high levels of dissolved oxygen is more vital than the current itself, and a venturi would assist greatly.

Have you tried to place the caves at different angels compared to the current? It's a very good idea to have an area with less current where the fish can feed, like you have :) It's also a good idea to have a heater guard like you have.

I might have put a few more rocks in between the caves to assist in making territories.

Have you had any spawns yet?

Thank you McEve :D

I'm sorry but don't know what a venturi is  I don't know what the level of dissolved oxigen is but I think the spraybar helps a lot.
I will put the caves in different angels, that's a good idea. I'll also put some more space and rocks between the caves.
I haven't got any spawns yet, I didn't have any females untill 2 months or so...and since I got them I've been trying different set-ups. I should leave them alone, I know :) That's why I posted here so I can put together a good set-up and leave it like that!

What's your water parameters? Are you planning to use RO water for stimulation?

I don't treat my water yet, but if it is necessary I will give it a go..

I've made some improvements, I will post some pics later.

Ok I tried to create more space between the caves and I put some extra rocks in. I'm pretty pleased with the result but if there are any comments please let me know. Thanks again McEve for the advise :D

That looks like a much more exciting place to be :D Lots of crevices, room for territories and caves in different positions. Looks good to me :)

I bought the Juwel diffuser today and I also found the diffuser that came with the internal filter so there will be plenty of oxigen now :D
