hi, ive got 2 pics of the bristlenose but not sure what type as i cant find any pics of their markings. might even be medussa?
also just picked up a pair of baby golden ?????
if anyone can shed some light i would be greatfull.
new baby golden ???

The first ones don't look as dark as the medusa bns I've seen, the golden looks similar to a bn I have seen in the past not too long ago, I forget just what they were labelled as but I'm sure it'll come back to me! LOL! If not the shop I saw them in wasn't too far away if you get stuck!

The first one looks like a common bristlenose. Medusas are quite a bit darker with a much flatter shaped head. Definitely not them.
The second one is a calico or marble bristlenose, a man made variant that is definitely having a big rise in popularity lately.

The second one is probably a man made one as Barbie states but they are definitely not like any marbles I own or have seen before, they are quite distinctive.

i think im going to have to take a pen and paper with me when i go to the shops, lol,
yeah ive looked up more medussa, its definatly not that, i think it is just a bristlenose, my others are spotted i just wondered if there was another name for this one in the first 2 pics.
as for the 3rd pic, i will go back to the shop with my pen and paper,
i know it was called golden something, i might be completely wrong, but hey they are sooo cute,

It's just because it's young. As they get older they get darker. I've seen them that were almost all gold at small sizes. It's definitely a calico/marble bristlenose.

i agree.
a friend of mine has 5 of these marbled bn, they seem to change colour depending on what surface there on, from a light shade to a dark shade and everwhere in between.
