Fluval 405

Pretty much explains itself really. If you have questions about tank set-ups, tank furniture, (caves etc) chuck them in here!

Fluval 405

Post by crazyplec46 »

Hi all

Setting up my zebra setup at the weekend with the hope of adding 3/4 zebs with my adult male (all will go in an established tank until the new one is setup and cycled)

Im pretty up to speed with what Im going to do and the temp/conditions etc in need to have - I have been keeping plec for a long time and done alot of research for this setup

Simple question is about my filter - I have a spare Fluval 405 that I may use - Would this be OK or should I get something else??

Was thinking about running a low level spray bar from this?

Could I get a sponge for over the intake?

All advice is greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

As long as the filter is rated for the tank it's going to be attached to then yes it'll be fine although I personally prefer Eheim filters.

Why do you want a sponge over the intake?
