set up...

waiting for the zebs tom....can you guys tell me if i need some adjustments with my set up.so i could do adjustments just in case. ...20 gal with emperor 400 filter.86F

I would make sure all the rocks are stable, the one river stone in the center doesn't look too secure.

ok thanks...i think ill take out some of the rocks...do you think i need to add a powerhead for more current?i have an emperor 400 with 350gph for current is that ok?

i have found my zebra prefer the black pvc over the white.
maybe due to brightness.

I also breed frontosa.
we have argued for years on the frontosa forums if black PVC is safe compared to the white.
those of us who use it never have any problems.
my frontosa breed all the time wiht alot of black PVC in the tanks.

it also blends in a bit more.
I now prefer slate caves though for my zebra, they look a bit more realistic.

if you ever make it up to the bay area, i have a bunch of extra slate caves.
maybe i will head down that way sometime this summer.

i'm running 2 aquaclear 300's in my 55, plus a powerhead that does 350, so i'm doing about 950 gallons per hour.

alot of people suggest a turnover of 5-10 times per hour, more would not hurt.
your 20 gallon with 350 gph, is better than 10 so you are good, but nothing wrong with adding a power head for more.

thanks guys...ya i wanted to get the slates...but is it too big for my zebs right now?i think theyre half an inch.and is a mold on the drift wood ok?particularly the one on the left?
