Just a small thought before anybody thinks of buying this fish.
It is becomimg apparent that at least 4 species or races , are being imported under this number, and the variation between juveniles and adults can be considerable, so purchasing 1 or 2 and hoping to add on later, the odds are that you will be getting a different fish.
As suggested on a different forum it is best to buy a group from the same source, you are, if intending to breed maintaining the integrity of a species or race of fish not yet described.
My next thought concerns conservation and LFS. Also remember a LFS will only by decent quality fish and this is understandable.
There are shops out there that will give a good price, those that will give credit and those that pay pennies.
It is a business they are running, so farmed fish the amateur breeder is unlikely to compete with, but when they say they can import wild fish cheaper ( In particular LNos ) it just creates a further drain on the diminishing resources of South America.
So when purchasing fish, ask about a buy back policy for tank bred fish, if they pay pennies then they are just aiding and abetting the stripping of the worlds natural resources.
Take care
Dave
