Hello everyone,

My names Chris as you can tell, I've been a devoted fish keep
for just over a years now. I don't owned a Zebra pleco I just
love the look of them. I have a big community tank of 5 Sliver
shark, two striped talking cats, and 5 pleco's of various breeds
And 6 Tetra's.

I found out about the Zebra's by accident really, in my local
Fish shop I bought one for £30 or so I thought. I have just started
to get into fish remember
 When I got home to identify the fish
I had just bought I found out that is wasn't a Zabra it was a Leopard
Frog ... but since that day I have a slight obsession with them like most of you.

Thanks for reading my story if your still reading its a bit long winded I know sorry

Welcome to the site. ;)

If it puts you mind at ease - £30 for a leopard frog isnt bad ;)

Dont you hate it when people try to call all sorts "zebra this" and "zebra that" just to make it sound more expensive!

The talking cats get there name because, if you get them out of the water, or if there stressed, they start to make the wierdest croaking sound. I found that out when moving a particulary big specimin from tank to tank at work.
Extreamely wierd but very interesting, i suppose they think it may scare away predators if they get attacked.

the fish was.

Yes I have seen it so much,.. the funnest so far was the chocolate

Chocolate zebra (L270) and columbian zebras (L129)
are actually legit common names - named long before the "zebra boom"

We've got a pair of leopard frogs too - very nice fish...
I'd recommend them as a zeb alternative to anyone that dosnt fancy dropping £1000 on a group of the real thing :)

Talking cat, I haven't personally heard then yet but both of mine are
still pretty young. They are nocturnal and very territorial.

Thanks again for the the warm welcome :D
