Greetings from South Africa

Post by Phantom »

Hello

My name is Kim, I live in Cape Town - South Africa.
My first love is a red tiger oscar called Asmodeus, then I decided to add a pl3c in his tank for company and another love affair started!
I now have the following pl3c's and will be adding as space allows:

Hypostamus Pl3costamus - Zen-Froglet
Sailfin Pl3costamus - Enjoys head butting the oscar
Golden Nugget - Digger and excavator extraordinaire
L001 - Botox, huge rude and obnoxious
L200 - In the excavating business with the Nugget
L204 - Harrasses the 25cm Black Ghost Knife for kicks

On my wish list is a breeding pair of Zebras, sadly it is near impossible to find them in this country :(

We have a total of 9 tanks at the moment and at last count 64 fish. I am sure by this time next year there will be some additions :D

I will post some pics as well.

Regards
Kim

PS - anyone willing to DHL me a breeding pair of zebras

Hi Kim,

Welcome to ZP! :D and a nice collection of plecs you got there too.

Good luck finding some zebras.

Thanks for the welcome :)

Smithrc, I see you are in Milton-Keynes - my hubby's family stay there too
With regards to your question on restrictions I don't think there are but I have requested the info from someone who has our blacklist taped to his monitor

In response to your question Smithrc, there are no pl3costomus on the blacklist, a number of catfish though.

Also congratulations on the birth of your child and a hearty congrats on the spawning of your zebras :D

Thanks :)

I was just wondering as I know the US and Oz have a lot of restrictions due to the warm climate... so wondered if you guys did too...

I I lived in Austrailia I'd be a king amoung Plec owners... only because most of them are not aloud to be imported.... that scuppers my emigrating plans - I couldnt go to a country where bristle noses are considered 'special' :)

LOL @bristlenoses being special!! We have a male and female and believe me they are the oddest creatures ever!

Our blacklist contains mostly african species believe it or not, something about conserving our natural resources, more a case of we make more money if we export if you ask me

If you are interested in a copy of our blacklist, let me know I can mail it to you, it's a 800kb zip file.

Best of luck with those precious babies of yours - I look forward to reading about their progress.

Regards
Kim

Hi Phantom,

I'd be very interested in seeing this black list also. Could you send me a copy, to here: zebra.plec@yahoo.co.uk
