I;ve got a 20 with 2 ehiems on it.. pro 2224 and the pro wet dry 2227 i think. 1 adult female and 7 little ones under 1.5"... they seem to love it and are growing steadly. May be over filtered but theres a lotta flow in there for them and nice clean water.

We don't know what kind of suggestions you want? If you want basics, how about caves, rocks, filter, and lights?

my 20 long has sand substrate, eheim 2213, odyssea 170gph powerhead/sponge slate caves, slate for hiding places and a piece of driftwood.
