Hi,
I saw these 3/4 size L46 for sale. However probably have a long ways to go before they can be ready for breeding... What do you think a year?
Here is the link.

If I had to hazard a guess... it is half the size of those fully grown adults in the picture... so you are looking at no less than a year and half old.
Looks in good shape too.

If they say 3/4 inch its definetily not the zeb in the picture.
3/4 inch is a 3 month old zeb.
This size shouldn't be sold yet and with transport it is asking for trouble!

Its AquaBid- what do you expect?
The closing price for those fish is nuts, but note the winning bidder is a 0/0- ie never won an auction and never sold anything.
In January I will be offering larger/older ones for a heck of a lot less and will not be listing them on AquaBid for sure

The name of the winning bidder sounds familiar
Hey kevin to be honest i would not buy a zeb this big, it's to risky at that size to put it through a travel and a change of (water)environment.
And the price......... is about 200 dollars too much, i wouldn't pay more then 75 dollar for a zeb at 1 inch!
BTW it's gonna take about 30 months to take a fish this big to breeding size

my apologies... I didn't realise the actual size was mentioned! The small one in the picture is definately older than 3 months. Older than a year that's for sure.
I wish people would post pictures of the fish that "ARE" actually for sale.
regards
Bader

Insanity comes to mind... Oh well I guess any notions that as a group of L046 fanatics we might lower prices is slightly fading at the moment.
I only hope that we won't see $500+ 3/4" zebras by the end of next year.

Why not $500 per inch is a nice round figure

You're right its sick, on this side of the big pond i pay about $75 per inch and i still think they are expensive (but worth it).

Is it possible that it meant 3 to 4 inches. (Anyone know for sure?)
Since 2 other auctions haven't gotten that high and those zebs are larger 1" to 1.75", and 1" to 1 1/4". The first is a pickup only though and no buyers yet, the second has shipping (add $75 for that), but it is up to $207, so maybe it was 3/4".

Ok - they have another bid going, and I asked - they are 3/4 of an inch.

you could contact exotic-finds and buy the same pleco for $150 but that was before he put it on aquabid.
