Another One - Male or Female

hi guys,
iv got the option of buying this fish and i want to know if it is a male or female. looks female to me but i want an expert opinion!

It is a young male, or a female. It looks somehow more a young male to me...

Is it over 2 inches yet?

its fully grown apparently. about 3" in length.
any thoughts?

are the vast majority of zebras babies male then? iv been searching for a female for months and not found any. it seems like everytime one turns up its male, even if the seller doesnt know the sex themself. it cant be 50/50 can it? i think the 2 one and a half year olds iv got, one of them definaltey looks female but is it too young to tell? i can post a pic if not. there about 2 - 2.5 "?

i think its because more people hold onto females or the ratio of females to males in a colony is greater.

Your posted one should be a male.
Though it's a bit difficult to tell for sure for a young specimen, you may wish to post your young "female" L46 for us to take a look...
