What is the best way to get a pair of zebs for breeding?

Find someone selling fry, buy a dozen or so, and wait a few years.

Or, if you're super lucky and have the appropriate funding, find someone unloading a known breeding group.

I agree...

First choice...cheaper, but normally you buy lots of juveniles. Hopefully, they will pair up and breed.

2nd choice...could be expensive, but normally immediate results with fry, IF they are indeed a breeding pair.

however, i find out that the second choice is very hard to happen this day as no one really want to sell breeding group. if they don't have experience to tell what gender they are then there is no gauruntee anyway. on the other hand, those who know exactly that they have a breeding group will not sell them to you unless the price is so high that they cannot refuse.

For fry, this guy appears to have positive feedback from a few of the users here:
