Can anyone identify what type of Scleromystax this fish is? apparently there are four types, I'm guessing that it's Scleromystax barbatus(Bearded Cory). It's one of 6 very young fish so I'm not too sure.

I believe that it's a young barbatus male...that hasn't colered up yet. Here's a few pics of a fully grown male, in breeding colors!

Cheers for the info Andrew C and Fishnut2,

As they are getting older they are starting to look suspiciously more like Barbatus. One of them is starting to develop a nose stripe. I have read that Barbatus, if that's what they are, can be aggressive. I have 2 that can not stand the sight of each other and regularly chase each up and down the length and breadth of my community tank. I guess that they are likely to be males, should I seperate them to be on the safe side?

Sorry for the delay in replying to your posts.

Fishnut2, forgot to mention it in my last post. Try resizing your pictures to 640x480 pixels, that should be a lot more web broser friendly for everyone.

Corydoras Barbatus are territorial, and the tank will end up with an Alpha male.
