First babies

Hello,
Last week i registered and introduced myself (see introductions).
I was waiting for a spawn for almost two years.
Last night i looked in my alfa male's cave and found 13 hatched fry!
Life is full of surprises, especially when you don't expect it.

Sorry McEve, i've allready moved them to a fry trap with a small inlet of water from my powerhead (by airtube), there is also a small fry cave in there.
By the way i didn't use my torch for weeks untill last night and last night daddy was in another spot and i didnot want to leave all those wigglers in my tank.
At this moment they look like picture number 4 from the top of the website, so i think they hatched 3 or 4 days ago.
Any tips or suggestions on when to start feeding and what kinds of food would be welcome.

They won't need to be fed for another two weeks, you'll see when the egg yolk is gone. Fresh BBS (baby brine shrimp) is good, microworm is good, but you can use Tetra Tabimin, or any flake food as well.
No bloodworms, no homemade shrimpmix and no brine shrimp (adults), as they choke very easily..

Would BBS from the freezer be ok? (brand name = kordon)
And how about sera wels chips (the red ones)
i have both of them present.

BBS from the freezer is ok, I don't have any knowledge of the other brands you mention.
I think you'll find that they are not picky eaters, but will devour 8hence the choking hazard) whatever you give them. Remember also that babies need vegetables, even though they eat/need less and less of that as they grow older.

fozen BB is fine, although fresh is better.
Sera chips I have not used but, Sera was good food from my cichlid days.
Feed often in small amounts.
the main thing is getting the food small enough so they can eat it and not risk choking on it.
I use a mortar and pestle to gind all my foods down when needed.
I can easliy grind blood worms and other foods(dry/other frozen) together into a paste that is fry safe. If your stilll paranoid using blood worms on younger fry then don't... LOL... or after your done crushing with pestle in Motar you can use a fine sceen/filter.. just to be sure you get any choking hazard.

Tried to make pictures but didn't succeed.
They came out all blurry.
I'll try again the coming weeks.

If anyone has some tips in taking good pictures.
