i was cleaning out my zeb tank yesterday getting it ready for a full strip down and sort out. when i moved a prawn from the night before and i noticed a little zeb. it was about 1.2cm long and looked happy digging in the sand for small bits of food. after a lot of jumping around i found another 3 little ones hiding in various places around the tank.
how old would a little zeb be at a little over a cm in lenght?
i ask as i am trying to determin what sitimulated them to get jiggy with it. i did a major water change (40% twice in 2 days)about 12-14 days ago and i thinking it might be that. the only other thing i did was a couple of weeks before that when i added another 4, year old zebs.
thanks
marcus

to my surprise i jeep finding them upto 13 now.

found one that is very different from the rest, instead of having strips like all the rest, it has black spots on its body. its very strange looking.
i dont know if this is a common thing with zeb fry???

every few days im finding more, i have found 16 now.
im wondering if he trapped 2 females.

my beta male has trapped one of the other females but no eggs again. thats the 3 time he has tried with no results. when the fry are a bit bigger ill seperate the group into 2, i hope that will make a difference
