Anyone using ZM Discus? Thoughts on it?

Looks like the high protein is a big plus.

I currently use New life spectrum H2o stable tablets from

http://everythingaquatic.ca/spectrum-st ... -p-64.html

The Zebs love them and they don't pollute as they stay together for 24 hours. They are however low in protein and that is a minus for zebs. Frozen foods/Live have to be offered often.

Hi CDNAqua

I have spent the past 5 years using tera prima, as a primary food (in conjunction with the usual, bloodworm, cockle, corgette etc).

I got recomended ZM systems food by my local fish shop and haven't looked back since.

I currently feed my fry on the large discus granular as they sink to the bottom and can be easily removed if left. The fry can just carve away at them. I have found them to be excellent at bringing the fish on.

I have also lost less due to bloat although this could be purely co-incidental.

The only thing I would say is that the food spoils quite quickly and any excess should be removed asap.

Hi Rob,

Have you got the details on the food that you get from ZM?

I have been on their website and not sure which oneyou use.

Is it the ZM 400 or just the discus granules small?

Hi SHimmy

It's actually the discus granules large. They are a bit smaller than tetra prima, but easy enough to remove and see.

Thanks Rob

I have ordered some of the zm discus small and large so will give you some feedback over the next few months,

I must admit I do loose the odd fish through bloating now and again, just put it down to the natural fact that we cannot expect every fish to be heaalthy and survive

\\\thanks again
