Do you use sand as a substrate? If you do does it get blown away?

Flip,
I am assuming your 1 meter is approximately 115 Liters of water. Sorry about my conversion.
Breakdown:
Powerhead .........
turnover (L/H)
700 L/H ...................... 6
1400 L/H .................... 12
2000 L/H .................... 17
it's all depend on what you're trying to achieve in your tank. Zebras like strong current something like around 20 times turnover rate will do. Some people have less or more all depend on their experience with keeping zebras. I know someone who have sucess in breeding zebras will a turnover rate around 3-4. So if you want lots of current flow I would go with 2000 L/H... Or if you already have some water current flow in your tank you can go with 1400 L/H. I wouldn't recommend 700 L/H because not enough current flow IMO. Hope this help.

In my experience they will breed if it's enough oxygen in the water. Current doesn't seem to be a must in itself.
Mine breed in a turnover rate of 6 - but with a diffusor.
