The fish looks quite under nourished, skinny body, sunken eyes, etc.... I would get it well fed up and look at it again in a month or so's time!

yeh i just got it 2 weeks ago but iv been feeding it well. i was told it was told it was a pair....

sunken eyes is not a good sign! Keep a close eye on it!

I'm sure he'll come around once you've had him for a while though. Does he act normally?

yes he's made a cave by digging the sand under a log and he seems quite healthy and active to me. i didnt realise his eyes looked sunken...

anyway il continue to feed him well and hope he's fattens up.
