Plan View
Right Hand Wall
Left Hand Wall
This is the plans for my fish hut which will be 12Ft by 10Ft.
The tanks on the left hand wall will be 2ft * 2ft * 1ft (high) and will be filtered by air driven sponge filters, for Apistogrammas.
The tanks on the right hand wall will be 3ft * 1.5ft * 1ft (high) and will be filtered by sump filtration, for zebras.

Some pictures of how the fish hut is going, the original drawings of the tanks has now changed, the tanks are now all 12" high, but the racks are four high to accomodate sump filtration for the zebra tanks.
Missed pictures of some stages as by the time i was finished at night it was getting dark.
Slabs removed, the area is ready for shuttering and the concrete base to be poured.
Trench dug out to run the power cable and water pipe in.
Trench dug out to run the power cable and water pipe in.
After pouring the base the wall and roof framing is next.
The roof is then lined.
Close up of the framing.
The hut is now cladded and sealed with underfelt.
Hut framework.
Floor drain in middle of the concrete floor for emergencies.
Water supply run using HEP-2-O plastic pipe and the waste pipe is run to a soakaway in the field behind the hut.
16mm Steel Wired Armoured cable to supply the power to the hut.
Hut framework.
The hut sealed properly with Torch On Felt.
Still to; fit a gutter, a PVC Door, insulate the walls, vapour barrier the walls and line the walls with plywood.
Will be running three levels of wood truncking right around the internal walls of the hut for the sockets (pvc trunking is far too costly), as i need approx 44 double sockets, which will be run off the hut's own fuse box.

That's really starting to come along and it looks excellent. I'm extremely jealous.
Howcome you need so many double sockets if half of the total number of tanks are going to be running air driven sponge filters, couldn't they run off a central pump, ie a koi pond pump?
Are you planning to heat each tank or heat the room?
What about lighting, are you just having a central light or lighting each tank?
Sorry to throw questions at you...just very interested.

Thanks for the comments
Intending to get a large airpump and run some 2" pvc pipe around the hut for the air supply to the tanks, just not made up my mind yet which pump to get, Hi-Blow have a very good reputation but they do not seem readily available in the UK, can only find the odd one on EBay when trying to find there cost.
Fitting one double socket per tank so that i have the option of heating each tank individually, and still have room for anything else if needed.
44 sockets is an estimate, once i sheet the internal walls of the hut, will draw the postion of tank racks on the wall to get the postion for the electrical trunking and it will also let me work out the exact amount of sockets i need.
It will be the zebras tanks that i will have to heat and keep the hut temperature at 25 degrees to keep the tanks without heaters at 25 degrees, which is ideal for Apistogrammas.
Also need sockets on the gable end; for heaters and pumps in the water storage tanks, and i hope to be able to squeeze a couple couple of tanks on that wall also, above/between the storage tanks.
Will be using a 5ft and 6ft strip light to light the hut and the tanks in the beginning.
Though i am fitting a big enough fuse box to be able to run two seperate loops with strip lights on them, one for each tank rack, at a later date.
The strip lights will just be waterproof ones bought from an electrical supplier for seeing the fish better and for better ligthing when taking pictures, not intending on keeping any plants, java moss will do !

Can I live in there?
Very nice. Really love the detail and work you've done. Can't wait to see the tanks and everything as you complete it all.
Great Dedication!

Made a screen door to try and keep the bugs out.
Made sure i have room for more water storage tanks, just now my Jewel 180 fits nicely on the left.
Changed the design of the rack here, to take three 15" high tanks, so that i can use my current tanks just now.
Top row of sockets in plywood trunking to service the top and second top tanks on the rack.
Three foot rack.
Painted tanks waiting to dry for there second coat.
Extractor fan.
Consumer unit and plywood trunking.

Some spare tanks fishless cycling.
A sponge filter i'm trying out.
2KW Dimplex Fan Heater With Thermostat.

Thanks
No new pictures, been a bit busy, but there was a couple of alterations to the hut, the main one was fitting a 6ft tank above the sink, and for the tank to fit, i had to widen and lower the framework.
You think you have a decent design, then when it's built, you think of something better
I am in the process of figuring out sumps for one side of the hut and pricing all the tanks !
