My point of view....
3&5 are clearly males...
2 male also (edited opinion)
1&4 possible females (If you squint

)
I'll try and get a better look at 1...

They look like all males to me...
Have they all taken posession of a cave? You can often tell by looking at their behaviour
nr4 might be a girl, but I'm not sure...

where was the gently about that
I was actually going to ask if females hang out in caves... (all 5 of our 129's do and 2 of those look female)
Now number 4 is the only one that is not in a cave (and there are more caves than plecs)
3&5 have a lot broarder heads than the other 3 - hence I was hoping 1&2 were female.

I'm going to stick my kneck outh here and say that 4 could be a very mature female, that is in desperate need of a good feed.
Everything about "Her" points towards male, but you I'm just kind of getting that "Hairy Lady" vibe.
Curvature on the gill plates follws along the line of te head as opposed to sticking out. There is a slight indication of hars on theplates, but thi does occur from time to time in the female.
Once other thing is that I wodl say NUmber 3 is a certain breeder!! Definately do with fattening up a bit, but is going to be a bit of a beast!
have fun and congrats on getting them!

they have a had a little more time to settle in now - we have 3 in caves and 2 loitering about the bogwood and a slate 'overhang'.
number 4 is one that is out and about.
number 3 and 5 are definatly in caves and the last one is... number 1 i think
I'll have a closer look later.
they are from a group of approx 40 and are all over 3 years old - fingers crossed

I think 4 is a mature female; her head shape is different than all of the others.

Im thinking 4 is a female as well! All the others seem to be males,,,,But i keep going back to number 1 and maybe its a hairy female! Do you happen to have a overhead shot of this one!

They need to be fed and in a month you will see a clear difference 1-4 is a female 4 being the best candidate.
Good Luck
