Hello from Belgium

Post by Dana »

Hello

My name is Evelyne Beckers and I'm 23 . I love fish since 5 years and I try since a year to breed zebra. (sorry for my english).

My tank :

80 X 40 X 50 with wood and stones but I will change things ... I will only put stones and "fry tube" and change sand yellow by black quartz.

There is two mix pump (1000 l/ hour and 500 l/hour). I have got 4 zebra : two male and two female.

Water parameter :

Kh : 4-5
T° : 28° C

I change water every week (20-30 liters).

I will try to put fotos :D

Hi Dana,

Don't worry about your English it's just fine. You'll find plenty of advise and support on this forum. You have a nice set up and nice fish - give it time and they'll spawn!

Welcome Dana! We don't have too many Belgians here, so your very much welcome to this International forum for Zebra lovers :D And like alevans said, don't worry about your English, we'll understand you, and will be only too happy to give advice if you have any questions!

You'll have baby Zebras before you know it I'm sure :D

Most people feed them at lights out as in nature they will eat after dusk. Mine are quite used to eating with the lights on - they will come out and feel safe to compete for food. I thought I'd better get them slowly used to eating with lights on so I could observe them and make sure they are allright.

NO ... before I have had a wood bit I have moved it ...

And I have no plant . I wanted to put specific ground for plants but a friend have saied to me that just quartz is the best . I wanted to put echinodorus but now it's too late. I don't want to empty the tank still ...

I have put foam blue to filter to have less nitrate ...
