This illusive beastie can only bee seen at night with the use of a haggis lens, which acts inverts the stripes to make them illuminescent!

This story kinda reminds me about the Australian Dropbears...... only more vicious !

McEve are you referring to Phascolarctus Bityness. Did you know that there are four sub-species: Common Drop Bear, Burrowing Drop Bear, Alpine Drop Bear and the Aquatic Drop Bear. Mind you they do not compare to a Haggis in rutting season.

I think it must have been the common dropbear I was told about one late night at the campfire. This was out in the bush close to Alice Springs, and there aren't anything Alpine or Auquatic life out there :? The ones I was told about live in trees, and they are very very vicious.... but I understand that they in no way can compete with the hypancistrus haggi....

BTW, do they come wrapped in a gut like the common haggis...?

It was too difficult to get to work, I use to work in Liverpool street then and the commuting was killing me. Have you been along Lea Bridge High Road at 08:00 in the morning? :x Living in Essex didn't really agree with me I missed north London too much  , so I sold up and moved. I must agree Buckhurst hill/ Loughton is a very nice area.
