Sid if you want a spawn to hatch out, move Dad and eggs (the cave and all) to a 10g tank with a cycled sponge filter. Once they hatch out and are swimming around you can put dad back in the other tank. Or just put the pair in a 10g and in no time you will have plenty of BN to clean the big tank in place of the pair.
