What Happened to My Zebra?

I went into my fish room to feed my fish and I knew there was one zebra that looked a little skinny so I was looking for him/her tonight to check up on him/her. I found my little zebra dead wedged under a piece of slate :cry:

I took it out and examined it, it looks like it might have had some sort of trama, has anyone seen this? I don't think it was there yesterday. It was in a tank of 7 zebras total and they are about 2.5"-2.75". If anyone knows or has seen this before, what happened? Do you think I lost a male or female?

Not a clue, unfortunately. But the orange colored whatever near the left gill plate looks like it may be involved?

Wasting can be caused by a few different things.
What makes the common person uncommon is common sense.
