PLEASE post your tank setups!

Pretty much explains itself really. If you have questions about tank set-ups, tank furniture, (caves etc) chuck them in here!

PLEASE post your tank setups!

Post by ghost »

Hi everyone. I have been growing out a group of 8 F2 zebras (unrelated F1 parents) for almost a year now in a 10 gallon and would like to set them up in their permanent home. I bought a 40 gallon breeder. With my goal ultimately being successful breeding I would like everyone's thoughts, ideas, pictures and video on how to setup the tank for them. Lighting, filtration, temperature, driftwood, rocks, caves, plants,UV,substrate and anything else you can think of that would be helpful.
THANKS in advance.

Mike

Are those cardinal tetras? I was thinking about a group of cardinals with my zebras. How do they do?
What kind of rock are you using? Are you using caves hidden in there for breeding?

Yes those are cardinal tetras, they only stay in the darker parts of the tank.
The stones are found in Belgium (google ardenner breuksteen), bought them in a garden center.
The caves are indeed in between the rocks, each one is places so I can view inside.

Hi this is my latest setup for my zebs:) i have one Eheim pump that blows around 1500L/h and another powerhead that blows around the same maybe alittle more. the tank is 222Liters i use blue LEDlights they got more active when i changed the lights. as you can se its not bright as ordninary lights are and thats always good.
i have big stones i found in the norwegian mounteins they say its some kind of shifer if you know what that is? i could be spelling this wrong hehe..
and i use fine sand as substrate but and i have my caves hidden between the stones, al the caves are pointed in different directions

sry about the bad picture took it with my phone hope it helps alittlebit:)
