Re: Rescape L46 tank
Nice work. Tank looks great for zebras and horrid for catching them which is usually great for breeding

Sweet looking scape dude!
Did you notice a hierarchy change or increased levels of aggression after the rescape?

Re: Rescape L46 tank
Did not notice a change in hierarchy, the alpha male is a big old wildcaught fish. The beta male is also wildcaught but slightly smaller. None of my f1's are near the size of those two, didn't notice anything between the lot of them. Have not seen an increase of aggression between them either.
Also only the alpha male caves all the time, the beta male just sporadically. My f1 smaller males barely cave at all, when they do it's only during night time.

Re: Rescape L46 tank
Thanks for the info!
Has any other male breed besides your alpha?
It's odd in my tank. One of my sub males cave all the time and the biggest male only caves once in a while.

not that i Know off, the Alpha male caves wheire i can See him. maybe the others take caves in the back.
they still have to get used to this Setup so hopefully i can Report some caving activity from the other males in the near future.

Re: Rescape L46 tank
One of the things I, and other folks, have noticed is that quite often the Alpha male is the 2nd biggest rather than the biggest who will be number 2.It's odd in my tank. One of my sub males cave all the time and the biggest male only caves once in a while.

Re: My L46 tanks
Tank is fabulous. Is this similar to rio xingu?
Re: My L46 tanks
It's similar in a way that you'll find sand and rocks in the xingu but nothing more.
Have a look at this underwater footage from the xingu if it interests you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgfjRA0H0Wo
