Breeding sizes

Hi guys, at what size do you think this hypans start breeding? I should be getting a pair of females sized 2.5" next week. Too small, or right size? Please advice.

No no no, of course two females aren't gonna breed, but are they of the right sizes, else I'm beef them up a bit before getting my male .

I have had females around that size spawn before, quite unexpected.
They are capable if they are well conditioned but their spawns will be smaller & they will take longer to reach full size giving larger spawns.
