I use 2 HOB filters on my zebra tank (as well as all my pleco breeding tanks), an AC 70 and an Emperor 280.

I have a 34 gallon tank with:
1) Eheim Pro3e 2078
2) Eheim 2234 (not filtering, just driving the UV sterilizer)
3) Eheim Aquaball
On the 10 gallon grow out tank:
1) Eheim Aquaball
2) Eheim Aquaball (with one filter set, I think it's 1212 or 1216)

Re: What filter are you using?
I have 3 zebra tanks:
1. 30 gal. Breeder- Hot Magnum plumbed so intake is along bottom right end and output is a spraybar across top left end. 270 gph sponged powerhead blowing down front of tank. Aquaclear 150 gph on right rear. (10 to 11 adult fish plus a few fry.)
2. 33 gal. long F1 growout/breeder- 160 gph sponged powerhead blowing down the back from left to right. 190 gph sponged powerhead blowing down the front from left to right. Eheim Liberty 200 gph on right rear. (15 f1 young adults and 2 wc adults.)
3. 20 gal. long F1 growout- AquaClear 150 on left rear. AquaClear 100 on right rear. Air driven sponge in center rear. (About 20 fry 1.5 inch or more.)

Mine are in a 30g with an aquaclear 70. I also have a dorky little filter of unknown brand on one end to fix a dead spot I had.
