Hi all, my name is Mauro and I'm italian; I apologize for my poor english.
I'm here because I want to create a biotope like Rio Xingu's rapids, dedicated to a L046 school of fish.

I'm still looking for a solution to create a fast water-flowing.

I have a couple of question for you:

1) Did you know if exist online videos where I can see the L046 at the state of nature.
2) As made, anybody of you, a river rapids tank fish?
3) A strong flow could be a problem for fish?

Welcome to the forum. Powerheads and canister filters create a great flow of water. The high flow is what these fish seem to be used too. I doubt there are any videos of them as they are very deep in the river according to anything you read. Good luck with the biotype!

Welcome to the forum.

As far as I am aware there are no videos available online of zebras in their natural habitat. Keep up the ssearch however and if you find one let us know

The problems associated with a high flow rate aer easily sorted out over time. i.e. movement of subrtate, - re-arrange furniture to catch substrate where you want it. The other problems can occur during feeding time. This can be solved eityher by reducing the rate for an hour or so by far the easiest, watch your tank and see where the food gathers, then arrange furniture etc so that eith the fish access where the food is, on the food gathers where the fish are. If that makes sense.

It may be a good idea to put another post in one of the other forums sections as it is a good question and deserves a good response.
