Greetings from Minnesota!

Post by daphilster08 »

Hey guys,

My name is Phil and I am a college student in Duluth, MN. I have been keeping fish my whole life, and have bred tons of things in my dorm room such as Cherry/Crystal red shrimp, CPO crayfish, Kribs, and apistos. I have been in love with zebra plecos from the first time I saw them at a MN breeders place about 5 years ago.. I currently do not have any but are looking to get a colony in the near future..
I have a beautiful 45 gallon acrylic set up in my living room that has been cycling for a while.. I am so fascinated by this type of pleco, but I also want another challenge to breed and to be able to distribute some of these specimens through out some the local hobbyist for a little bit lower of a price so they can enjoy them too.. So if anyone in the midwest has a small group for sale, let me know.. If you guys are on some of the other forums, you might recognize me from there as well! Well, I look forward to talking to you all!

Caution is a most valuable asset in fish keeping, especially if you are the fish.

Thanks all for the welcome!

I believe I have found someone actually and supposedly he gives out good prices to locals!! The funny thing is I remember going to his place about 5 years back and being like those plecs look cool! Anyway, thanks again for the welcome! Looking forward to talking to you all!

Thanks Tony! I have the tank ready and set, just trying to find a deal affordable for a college student! I am really motivated to breed and distribute people that are educated on these fish and care very much about this fish surviving in the hobby as we have this Belo Monte Dam that may ruin alot of things
