I just wanted to whine a bit. I introduced my 4 F1 zebras a few months ago and just found one of the females dead in a cave. I'm starting to hate these murderous little monsters. I really am! They're currently 2 weeks into a warm up and dry season trend. She was in a cave that doesn't even have a latched on roof so I'm not sure at all why it didn't budge and let her out. Stupid fish! I wonder if my two experienced males in there understand how close they are to being replaced?

I heard this before, with adult males and just matured females it can go wrong quickly.
How big was the male and female?
Maybe it's more wise to keep a almost mature female longer separated from adult males untill she has more "body" to engage in a spawn
Anyway sorry for your loss
