please help 1 day to sex these fish before accepting them

We all know how difficult it is to identify the sex of these fish, so please post a picture in here and we'll try to help you (or at least give an educated guess!).

My guesses

2 & 3 male.

1 , 4 & 5 possible female, they look pinched at the gills but look very hairy on thier fins.

My females have very fine hairs on their fins, good luck.

Just curious, how big are they? It is hard to tell from the pics. In the other thread you posted a pic with them all together I thought they looked pretty full grown, are they the same fish?

They look ok to me, maybe a clearer shot of them against a measuring tape would fix any doubts, but wat you showed look like 7cm+

Based on your picture, they do seem to be adults and ready to spawn anytime. :D

I agree, 1, 4, 5 female, 2 and 3 male. 5 is hard to tell for sure and might mature as a male. They are very thin compared to what I'm used to looking at. Hope that helps!

They are not the fish in the other thread as the markings on them are different i did look at them intensly. i was under the understanding that you do not measure the tail as part of the size.

fish number 1 i would say 2" 5cm

Well congratulations then!!!! :D
I have found in the past that when I am purchasing plecos, I have to ask the seller if they are refering the advertised lenghth as "SL" or "TL" to be sure we are on the same page because a lot of times, they are refering to the total lenghth... Regardless it looks like you have some good looking fish, will be looking for some more pics when you've fattened them up and conditioned them! We'll be seeing you in the spawning group in no time I bet!!! :D
