Hi all,
I have recently become very interested in loricariids. I've been keeping FW fish nearly my entire life (36 yrs.) and failed to notice the diversity of plecos 'till now! Boy am I glad I did (wife has a pleco fetish she's been pushing on me for a while now)!
I am specifically interested in the Xingu region and the effect the dam projects will have on the region, species and peoples. There are so many hypancistrus alone in the area that are understood so little!
Thanks to you all for keeping alive the most amazing FW fish I have EVER seen!!! I hope to have a couple for myself ASAP!
One more thing. I've had a hard time finding any current info on the Xingu projects and would greatly appreciate some hints on where some info may be found.
Looking forward to some interesting interaction,
Thanks, Clint
Hi!
Hi Clint
I've tried reading up on the current situation with the Belo monte dams too - but its all a few years old though - I can only see that as a good thing though as there is nothing reporting its go ahead yet...
