Making ID cards...

We all know how difficult it is to identify the sex of these fish, so please post a picture in here and we'll try to help you (or at least give an educated guess!).

I would say the 2nd and 4th are female and the snubby, also. I have a female that looks almost identical to that 4th fish assuming these are all really mature like the males. They look to be very healthy. Good luck getting them spawning!

Nice pictures of zebs, can anyone tell me why you all think they are either male or female? I have 10 adults that were in three groups before two others died. I put them all in one 30 long to treat them for worms and it seems to have been the problem and cure. They bred before and I would like to put them back into two or three tanks again but would like to try to identify them. In the first group in this forum of Koen's fish, folks seem to agree #2 is a female. The only difference I see is the fish appears to be fuller and rounder in the body, is this the key? Also I have always thought fish would do better in as natural of an environment as possible. The only argument for bare bottom tanks I have heard is they are easier to keep clean. I am thinking of putting 4-5 of my zebras in a graveled and planted tank with a water pump, bogwood, caves and a sponge and Whisper filter. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.
