Anyone Use Hang On Back Filters?

Post by GlockFu »

Hi... I was just wondering if anyone uses Hang on Back Filters like Aquaclears for their Zeb tanks. What's your opinions on using these?

I currentlly have one breeder and 3 growout tanks for zebs. Every single one of them has an AquaClear on it.

30B- Plumbed H.O.T. Magnum, 160 gph powerhead, AC 150gph.
15- AC 50gph and AC 100gph
10- AC 100gph and sponge filter
10- AC 150gph
What makes the common person uncommon is common sense.

I too use Aquaclears in conjunction with a Hydro Sponge filter powered with a powerhead. They have been great for maximum filtration and water flow for minimum maintenance. That's perfect at my house ;).

Awesome. Thanks! I've been mainly keeping large tropical fish like gars, arows, rays and things like that for a long time so I havent used a Hang on back filter in a years, I converted to all canisters but the canisters are definately alot more trouble.

Hope you don't mind me butting in , I like the sound of these filters but haven't been able to track them down.

Any you guys out there know where I can get one up my neck of the woods ?
Are they available here in the UK ?

Much appreciated if someone can point me in the right direction.
