hi everyone i have just found this site and think it is fantastic. i dont yet own any zebs but i will be collecting 7 young at the end of january from a local breeder. i have lots of questions to ask but for now i will just introduce myself. my name is dave and i am 29 . i have been fishkeeping for about 5 years and have decided to wonder into the world of zebra plecs. i have a 4 foot tank set up and ready for my first babies, i know its a bit early but im excited.

Welcome to zp.com, you will find it a very helpful site.

One quick observation- A 4 foot tank for 7 zebra fry is really huge. You will be hard pressed to ever see them or perhaps even know where they are. This can create issues with being sure they get food. You may want to consider using a smaller tank.

I typically growout my fry in what amounts to 1/2 gallon of water each. However, I am probably doing growout in smaller tanks than most. I do regular wcs and filter cleans and also over filter.
