Hello all:

Can you all please help me with these silly questions? These questions are very important to me.

1. Do you really need a RO systems if you have a canister filter, UV sterilizer and do weekly water changes?
2. Can an adult male live with small frys (1 inch) from another batch live together in a 30 gallon wide tank?
3. My Ph is at 7.5-8, my temp is at 80-85 degrees and my tank is 30 gallons, is this ok?
4. Last, how old before you can sex and breed?

Thank you so much everyone.

1. R/o is irrelevant to you filtration. R/o is used when for sensitive species or when your water quality isn't acceptable.
2. Same as Johns response.
3. Assuming it's for zebs yes it's ok...but 30gals is only ok depending on how many you want to keep in the tank.
4. Same as Johns response.

John hit it all on the head.

I can tell you I have had as many a 13 adult breeders and about 55 fry in the same 30 gal breeder tank at one time. The amount of cover available was so great you could not see most of them without taking the tank apart.
What makes the common person uncommon is common sense.
