Hiatus Over!.. After a year of Toil, finally a spawn

Post by CDNAqua »

Hello fellow Zeb heds,

Good to see the crowd is still around, I have not been around in a while due to my work schedule changing too 3 rotating shifts.

Anyways GOOD news finally. After a year and a bunch of months I finally see some fry in my 35 gallon.
The group in the 35 have been on Hiatus since I divided them from my other groups that were in a 72 gal. I don't think I will be moving anymore groups of zebs anytime soon. A long lesson learned. However, I now can have 2 tanks breeding, and after all that was the mission. So Mission Accomplished! :D

Bad news is all but one have died. :( I have spotted 4 so far, fished out 2 dead, 1 half alive(that later died), and the lone survivor.

Here a couple of pics I snaped,
The one on my finger is dead unfortuataly

Peace out

Pleased to hear you've got your first spawn, just a pity that one of the poor mites died  Keep us posted on the progress of the others

I am glad to see that someone in Canada is breeding this beautiful fish. I am sorry to hear that the ones you have seen so far have mostly been dead. But maybe like a lot of other fish it will take them a time or two to get on their 'game' so to speak...
