minimum tank size

Post by newaquarist »

Hi I'm fairly new to the aquarium hobby, i've had a 55 gal tank running for
about a year now, and have seemed to have no major problems, i do water changes on a regular basis, and i keep a journal of every change to the tank i've made and of the water prementers

i'm really really interested in getting some L046's.

i was wondering what the minimum tank size for 2 to 4 of them is?, i was
thinking about purchasing a 29 gal aquarium as it is all i can really afford, and that i have the space for. also tank size in gals would be appreciated as i'm in the US.

Hi newaquarist :)

29 US gallons is just fine. Thats about 109-110 metric liters, which is the same as we have for the same number of zebras.

You seem like someone who likes to do it thoroughly when you start, so make sure you read some of the articles on this site and browse the forums for hints and tips to successful zebra keeping :)

Good luck!

I have 5 of them growing out right now in a 20g long which is like 30" which works really well for them but I plan to upgrade to a 30g long which is another 6" longer.
