When do you want mods to be available in the ZebTalk?

If it's about fish in general, or it's a little bit random, then this is the place to post it.

When do you want mods to be available in the ZebTalk?

Post by kingfisher »

We're considering having a set time of week and day when at least one mod is available for chat in the ZebTalk :)

What would be the best day of the week for you? Vote!

Also, it would be nice to know at what time of day it would be best for you. Please just reply to this post and tell us what you think is the best time :)

(time in GMT please)

Too few votes?

Post by kingfisher »

Considering its been 50 views and so few votes I am wondering if there is a need for mods in the chat or even the ZebTalk chat at all?

Any thoughts?

Hi

Post by dave »

IMO it should be moderated like all the other categories.

It seems like it it is very time consuming for the moderators. I appreciate that this facility was implemented in the hope of achieving something. My question is will the goal be achieved if the moderators are readily available or not?

Suppose only the people who implemented this can answer.

Take care

Dave

the chat is and will be moderated the same way as any other category. The question was if there's an interest for it, and if there is a need for a set time where mods are available for answering questions live, as there are so few votes.

Yes Bonsai I agree. In order to make this possible however we are all going to quite our dayjobs and put a membership fee onto the forum of £20,000 per year, per member ;-) ..... :rotfl:

Dave in answer to your post, the idea behind the Chat funtion is to try and create an increasing communit spirit. This will hopefully increase as the forum itself reaches a wider audience.

The purpose of the "set time an date" is not just a "moderating" task, but also to provide a point in time where any members can attend to ask questions on keeping their zebras. I guess the closest comparision would be an "open surgery". By having a set time and place there is a higher likelihood that larger numbers of members will be online at one point in time.

;-)
