Bugs!

Post by Lucy »

In an effort to get my smallest Zeb eating I think I've been overfeeding

The result of this is (nice fat fish!) I've now got bugs in the tank!

I've read about a treatment called Flubenol 15 on another website but I was wondering if anyone had used it with their Zebras & if it had any ill effects?

I've emailed the makers but obviously they're in the business of selling it so I'm hoping someone here can give me their personal experience of it.

Thanks

Any idea what 'bugs' are in the tank?

I would be hestitant to use something like flubenol until I knew exactly what I was treating...

I assume you've also cut back on your feeding regime too?

I think they could be Harpacticoid Copepods - though that's not confirmed. :?
They swirl around in any uneaten food & detritus, and cling to the underside of the slate & caves. They remind me of the shrimp like things (scientific description!) that you find under rocks on the beach but much, much smaller - about 2-3mm.

Yes I've cut back on the feeding, but I'm worried that the smallest Zeb gets enough as the other 2 do bully him. :(
