Hello from WA state!

Post by Zeebz »

Hi everyone!
Been 'lurking' about, reading in the forums for a while. Thought it was time I joined up. :P
I have just one little lonely Zebra Plec, but am hoping to acquire a few more as time goes by.
Looking forward to learning and sharing with all the members here at Zebrapleco.com!

Hi Donna!

Welcome to the forum :). I haven't had many spawns this year, but I do tend to give preference to people that can drive to pick up their fry, depending on exactly what you're looking for ;). What other fish are you keeping currently?

Well, thank you for the wonderful welcome! :P
I currently have 6 community tanks up & running. I won't bore you with a list of all the fish, but Plecos are my ultimate favorites. These are the Plecs I have now: The Zebra, of course, Bristlenose, Albino Bristlenoses, Adonis, Gibby, Green Phantom, Leopard, Tiger, Clowns, Royals and Orange-spot.
My current project is to get the ABNs to spawn. The female isn't mature enough yet. But, that will be fun, I think. And, I'm hoping, good practice for the day I can have a Zebra colony.
The Zebras are such a beautiful fish and probably one of the main reasons I was attracted to fishkeeping to begin with. I would love to see every fishkeeper who wants one and is able to keep one, actually have one someday. I saw some at my lfs about a year ago, but at $100. each, I thought I'd wait. Wish I hadn't. He-he!
Anyway, I'm finding this site very informative and interesting. I look forward to learning a lot more about the Zebra Plecos.
