Farlowellas steal show from zebras

Post by TwoTankAmin »

I guess the fact that you can see into the zebra breeding tank from the 50 gal. inspired the farlos in the 50. Having seen 3 sets of zebs spawn over the past few weeks gave them ideas.

So this morning I got up to a pair of farlos spawning on the front glass. I actually watched them shimmy and shake and deposit and fertilize some eggs. So far they are still together with the eggs and have left 41. I have no clue how so many eggs that size fit inside the female.

This is the 4th spawn in that tank. I would also note that I had been so busy of late that I missed a water change on that tank and had done a pretty big one Wednesday afternoon and we also had rain in this week.
What makes the common person uncommon is common sense.
