Hi Adam

Good luck mate...from a personal point of view, I think you got a a bargain!!!! If you want something, and you can't get it anywhere else, then how do you name the price!!! (that isn't supposed to sound as dodgey as it does!!!!!!!!)

Out of 9, you're sure to have it sorted, and I wouldn't worry about the size difference they should be fine!

Thanks Rob, that's how I look at it. I previously paid £600 for 6 so £700 for 9 is definately a bargain. I should have some females now, can't tell though as they're too young.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease about the size difference issue. :D

Got another 2 adult zebras today, I'm fairly sure that they are female. I might go back for some more tommorow. This time they cost me £110 each, ouch. The guy actually wanted 125.00 but I haggled as usual. That brings the grand total of zebras to 20, 11 adults and 9 juveniles. They're all in a 200 litre tank at the moment but I'm going to split them up soon.
The 11 adults will go into a 6ftx2ftx2ft tank and the youngsters will stay put.

Congrats Adam :D

You should have enough fish for two groups now? Considering only one male at a time seem to be "allowed" to spawn, it might be something to consider :)

Hi,

I cannot afford them myself but I though you should know that a West Yorkshire L no specialist was receiving some zebras today (along with alot of other rare catfish. I don't know the exact price but they could be as cheap (RELATIVELY SPEAKING) as £70.00, that was the price mentioned to me earlier on this week by a chap who works there!!!!

Place is Caldervalleykoi

01422836616
City sowerby bridge
County west yorkshire - just off junction 24 of the M62 so easy to find.

Cheers

Thanks guys, I'm just trying to ensure that I have sufficient females in the colony.

Dan I got them from here: www.wildwoods.co.uk

The manager let me have the pick of the bunch, they've been in quarantine for 9 days and will be officially on sale from about 13:00 today. There are 28 left, you better be quick because I might be going back for some more. See you there perhaps.

They are going for £125 each but you should be able to haggle the price down a bit, I got £30 off my 2.

Des the largest zebras were about 4". I would say that most of them are sexually mature and therefore easier to sex, it was still a job for me though.

Dan, I'm not sure if Wild Woods do shipping. They are about 6 miles from where I am and I always collect my stuff. I can find out for you if you want. Was there anything you were looking for in particular :?:
