Do a water change. It can't hurt and it will remove whatever is acidic and causing the drop. As long as you aren't using straight RO that is.

Neo

I find my tap water varies day to day in ph, so as a thought check it each water change. I use Waterlife PH 6.5 as a ph buffer, you can't over dose. I've tried as an experiement!

Good luck - I have my fingers crossed!

Update 12.30am PH was 5!!!! after a quick trip to Riverside aquaria i came home with some coral sand and some Kent Freshwater ph up

i 1st added some coral sand, a fine layer over the sand already in the tank, then i added 2 capfulls of the kent ph up, it said to add 3 but i only added 2, this slowly got the hp up over 76 hours to where it is now, stable at 7

just wanted to let you all know and say thanks for all the advice etc, the zebs seem fine, no hard breathing etc and i even saw my 1st Zeb fight today...
