zebra plecs with other fish

Post by tom27021983 »

hi all, i need to know if i am able to put my new zebra plecs in with my other tank mates, i currently have 4 albino bristlenoses, 15 juvenile common bristlenoses, a juvenile sailfin pleco, and some neon tetras and some glow light tetras, also there is some kind of snail in there too now, am i better giving them their own tank?

thanks tom

In a word, YES.
What makes the common person uncommon is common sense.

They will be much better in a tank of their own. They don't compete well for food and require higher temps than bristelnose plus a more meaty diet too.

Zebra plecs aren't cheap these days so better to give them the best possible start and get their habitat right for them alone :)
